Hello Sisters!
It is quite late on Saturday night, but like I've said before, something about Summer nights that my family enjoys to stay up late. Maybe because our house is not insulated and if its 80 degrees that day, the inside of our home is about 100 degrees. So, naturally we can't relax until midnight, then finally we get to bed and I have to get up at 4am to shut all the windows because by then our house is cold. Yea, I love summer!
We are taking 2 weeks off to host Japanese foreign exchange students and also to take a break in school.
Hanna received a surf board for one of her graduation presents (that's a present every mom wants her daughter to get), so we plan to go to the beach a lot. I told the children we can go between the hours of 6am and 10am. At that time all the teenage girls who wear dental floss as swimsuits are still at home in bed.
We've been talking about how even though we are born again, we MUST spend T I M E in the Word in order to renew our soul (which is our mind, will and emotions.) Rom.12:2 and Eph. 4:24. So, we are reading through Proverbs in the morning and watching KCM.org in the evening and singing to the Lord during the day. The closer I get to Jesus, I can see all the stupid worldly things we do and believe. It's not just me, but I know this is also the same for many of you. When we stay in the Word, pray continually, and sing throughout the day it brings us into another realm where we begin to see as Jesus sees and then we can say and do the things that He did.
I finally got a new camera, but am having trouble getting it to work with the computer, so I'll get some pics up soon of our new chicks. :)
