Hello Sisters!
I have been speaking Isaiah 54 out of my mouth for a while now. "In righteousness you shall be established;
you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; And from terror, for it shall not come near you."
I am concerned about my oldest daughter and facebook. What I am concerned about is that she calls these people "friends" and she only knows them via internet. A few people we have meet, they call themselves Christians, and you know what, I'm sure they are, but my daughter is not hanging out with them! I am also concerned that when we talked a few days ago she told me she was being pulled. She just doesn't know anymore. She is questioning her walk with the Lord. I calmly replied with a quick recap of everything we've taught her. I told her we are being pulled all the time, we are spiritual beings living in a physical body, we are always choosing God's way or satan's way, so yea, you can feel what's going on, your so post to! I told her I understood her questioning, and that's why I am FULLY confident that if she goes to the Lord with her questions and worries, He is her DADDY and He WILL give her the answers she needs. He is FAITHFUL is show us all truth, maybe not everything all at once, but He is passionate about His children and HE wants so much for us to have confidence in Him. I kissed her and told her to get into the Word and just meditate on Him.......and ask Him. He has all the answers she needs anyway. :)
So, I have been speaking oppression and fear far away from EACH member of our family. I have increased the prayer time (for my teens) to instead of once a day, it's in the shower, washing the dishes, laundry, watering the garden, etc... I didn't know teens could make me pray so much! But then that's good because my husband also reaps the benefits, what wife that prays for her children could not pray for the man she loves?
We found a book to help us in our Sunday evening dinner. It's called Pioneer Woman Cooks (or something like that.) Here is a picture of the 13 yog and 10 yog cooking twice baked potatoes, comfort meatballs and we had cobbler in the oven. Everything is so good from this book and the short stories throughout the book show you just how much her husband means to her. This book is a keeper.
If you haven't heard, Franklin Springs dvd's have made the Homestead Sisters 10 dvd's available for $100. and that's about $100. off the normal price! You bet we sent for our copies! :)
I just finished my first rag rug and gave it to my mom for Mother's Day. Tomorrow the girls will start on their own rugs or "hot plate" rugs. I think I'll keep it small at first so they can finish quickly and feel a sense of accomplishment. Then we will move on to bigger things! :)
Well, do you see the time? It's almost midnight and I'm soooo tired and I have to get up early (6am).
Stay in the Word sisters! That is our LIFE line!
Blessings,
Shannon
