Journal ~ I found a live in cook!, Moth

Hello Sisters!

I have gotten back on our MOTH schedule and things are a little easier around here. :) The family does SO MUCH better when everyone knows what to do and when to do it! One of my daughters said to me, "Mom, I'm so glad we are back on track, I get so much done."

Even if you are an unschooler in method, the MOTH will work for you. Your schedule would be something like....8am wake, 10-1 pursue interests, 1-1:30 lunch, 1:30-2 exercise, 2-3 clean, etc... For many years we unschooled, but needed a schedule because our family is so large and we had/have so many chores to get done.

My 11 yog has taken over preparing/cooking the evening meals 4 times a week for $10 a week (I know, I'm getting a bargain!) I've never been excited about cooking because it seems to just take away from what I need/want to do, but alas, we ALL have to eat, so cook I must. As much as I like the Duggers, their favorite dinner of tater tots and soup from a can mixed together and cooked in the oven is not "my" type of meal. If I'm cooking, its FRESH vegs and fruits, lots of garlic, extra virgin olive, red onions and bell peppers.

Last night as my daughters prepared the meal, I actually SAT, (yes, sat) in the hs room and opened up to Psalm 91 and read it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't read the bible in the evening, alone, while dinner was being made in years!!!! I just thanked the Lord for His goodness and blessing on my family and I thanked Him for leading Bekah to begin this cooking journey for our family. (Thank you Bekah! :)

Today we went to Whole Foods and bought some seeds as I want to start sprouting again. We have been eating daily, breakfast sandwiches which consist of cheese, onions, cucumbers and tomatoes...we've been missing the sprouts. I also have a secret, I've gained a few too many pounds, so, it's off to raw eating for me, for a least a while. It's a quick way for me to loose the pounds and re-gain a ton of energy, now, if I only had the will power to s. t. a. y. raw!

Blessings,
Shannon

Hey Girl-if I can do it so can you!! Have tons of cookbooks for raw eating! Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to discipline you if that is your desire-He will!! Looking forward to the 21st!

Love ya

Shannon,
I hope you are doing well. I have been revamping our homeschooling recently and one of the things I know I need is a routine! I have the MOTH book, but I loaned it to someone....and they still have it :-) That's ok, my hubby helped me with making a schedule using Word. I made one up, but it is not matching with real life!! Ha, ha! The problem I have is a seven month old who has no set routine. Getting things done is hard. But tis only a season.

Blessings,
Kerri
