Journal ~ More Sex Makes for a REALLY Happy Family

Hello Sisters!

I'm sitting here with my Starbucks Iced Soy Latte add whip and a truffle from Trader Joes (actually 4 truffles, but I'm not gonna eat anymore!) Have you noticed that your relationship with your husband, children and the Lord are so much better when your having lots of good sex? It's the good sex with hubby that makes him happy, he makes you happy, you make the children happy, everyone is happy and because everyone is so happy you WANT to get up earlier and spend time with the Lord who actually invented this beautiful act of love making.

I'm reminded of a caller on Dr. Laura who said her husband was staying out late with the boys. She wanted to know how to get him home. Dr. Laura said "tell him your having sex every night at 6pm. and then do so faithfully for at least 2 weeks, he will be home alright!"

If some of you look at sex as a chore, it shouldn't be. If it's work, then you are missing it somewhere. Correct the problem and for heaven sakes, bless your man!...it will only come back to bless you! :)

I got the "Road Less Traveled" cd by Serene and Pearl, daughters of Nancy Campbell, and it is really nice. The words are right-on and very encouraging for us wife's. When we were in the van last, my 14 yob said, "what track it the kissing song?" I started thinking, my son is hearing women sing about the good times and hard times of a marriage/family relationship and how in the end, we come out on the "prosperous/blessing" side if we will CHOOSE to stay walking in the LOVE command (John 15).

While many are out and about, going crazy with Christmas shopping, we are not. For the last 2 weeks, and the next 2 weeks I have had no going here and there! YEA!!!!!!!! We have gone to the library in the last 2 weeks and have had some neighbors over, but that is about it. IT'S SO WONDERFUL TO JUST STAY AT HOME AND TALK ABOUT JESUS AND ENJOY YOUR CHILDREN AND HUSBAND, THERE IS NOTHING BETTER!!!!!!!!

We are not opposed to Christmas at all, but we don't "get into it" as some do. We simply tell the children the truth. Many Christians celebrate Jesus' B-day, but Jesus said to remember His DEATH, and so we do so daily. Christmas is pagan in its orgins, you can't refute that, but we don't want to judge, some believers feel that Christmas is important and that is fine to. What is important, is that we WALK IN LOVE everyday of the year.

We have a simple breakfast on Christmas morning with extended family and pretty much sit around and talk for a few hours. We don't to the presents thing except for a few for the younger ones and younger cousins.

I have so much to write, but the baby is awake and needs some one to read to her. :) Elias (5) got a book about Star Wars and wants to lie in bed, snuggle and read, so off I go. Will talk in a few days. :)

Blessings,
Shannon

Journal ~ Manifestation and Hiddeness

Hello Sisters!

I have about 10 minutes to write and share with ya all what's been happening in my life. Well, the best thing is that I have been diligent to wake up every morning at 5:30am to spend time with the Lord! I am so thankful that He makes time to talk me and listen to me...isn't He SOOO WONDERFUL?!?!?!?!? I have been praying for my teenagers and especially that they would not just "know" that Jesus is good because mom and dad say so, but that they would EXPERIENCE it for themselves. The ONLY way this will happen is if "I" am in a season of experiencing the Lord myself. There are times when His physical blessings are manifest and active in our life, that is when we are lifting our hands and rejoicing and He in return continues to pour on us blessings running over. Then there are times when nothing much "seems" to be going on the the physical blessing area, but these times are when we get to enter into His presence and He takes us on a spiritual journey and shows us things that "were" hidden and reveals them to us. He shows us where we are "missing it" and how to get back on track.

We go from standing tall, praising His name, and lifting our hands... to prostrating ourselves flat out on the floor and worshipping Him. The first experience is manifestation and the next is hiddeness. Hiddeness is best I think.

Our oldest Hannah, will be 16 on the 13th! She wants a purity ring, racing bicycle, and a night at the Sheraton Hotel with a friend and grandma.

Mattias 14, is looking forward to taking college classes 3 times a week, all wood working.

Bekah 11, is a wonderful writer and helps me with my vocabulary very often and hopes to get her cookie business off and running before Christmas.

Mikayla 8, loves to dance, loves her sisters, and just recently took off in reading.

Elias 5, is discovering Legos (thank goodness his brother plays with him!) and is a wonderful gardener.

Sophia 1 year and 1 month, walks only while pushing the recycling trash can around the kitchen and dining room. We call her a "tick" as she frequently waits by the living room door just waiting for someone to take her outside or pick her up and carry her outside. All the children love her and have their own special thing they enjoy to play with her from "Spin the Baby," to "Let's Change a Diaper."

What can I say? The Lord is GOOD and His blessings are for His children, THANK YOU JESUS!

Blessings,
Shannon
