Journal ~ Not growing weary because He already did so for us!

We are fans of the book Artisan Bread in Five Minutes, even the young ones make bread almost daily!

Hello Sisters!

My hubby took the children for a walk so that I could spend a little time writing and....I used much of that time washing the dishes instead of writing on here.

I came across this in Hebrews...

"LOOKING AWAY [FROM ALL THAT WILL DISTRACT] to Jesus, who is the leader and source of our faith and is also its finisher [bringing it to maturity and PERFECTION.]...

Just THINK of Him who endured from sinners such grievous opposition and bitter hostility against Himself [reckon up and consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you MAY NOT GROW WEARY OR EXHAUSTED, LOSING HEART AND RELAXING AND FAINTING IN YOUR MINDS." Hebrews 12:2-3

Oh how we need to keep our eyes on Jesus! I know we hear that I lot, and it becomes sometimes just like another phrase, but the POWER IN LOOKING TO AND CONSIDERING HIM....it REALLY does give us JOY!

They are already back and we "have" to go swimming! :) Have a great weekend and don't forget as you go about the dishes and laundry and spills and sibling squables, we MUST CONSIDER HIM who made the way for us so that we could mother with joy and kindness and tenderness in our actions.

Blessings,
Shannon

Journal ~ Making Jesus #1

Hello Sisters! (The picture above is where I spend time in the Word, in my bedroom on the floor. :)

When I was learning about healing 8 years ago I was DEVOTED to studying the scriptures. I had all my bibles out and concordance out and would spend anywhere from 4-6 hours a night going through the scriptures and praying. I was so EXCITED, for the first time in my life I really believed that WHAT THE SCRIPTURES SAID, WAS REALLY TRUE and that if Jesus said that I had ALL HIS POWER, well then, I BELIEVED IT! It was not long that I was baptized in the Holy Spirit with speaking in tongues (something I passionately discredited as false) and had VICTORY in all areas of my life!

This 4-6 hours a night of spending with Jesus went on for about 8 weeks. I would go to bed around 2 am and awake around 6 am. I would have VERY LITTLE sleep and I had a newborn! But the Lord SUPERNATURALLY gave me all the rejuvenation I needed because He knew I NEEDED THIS TIME WITH HIM!

Well, I am digging in again and I want to ENCOURAGE you to also.

"[For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the PRINCIPAL thing], prize wisdom HIGHLY and EXALT her, and she will exalt and promote you; she will bring you to honor when you embrace her." Proverbs 4:7-8 Amplified Bible

What is there more important and pressing than Jesus? NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When we spend time in the Word, it gets our attitudes and thinking straight and our actions begin to line up with the Word. We begin to greet our husband and children in a SPIRIT OF LOVE (tenderness, gentleness, patience) and in turn breed love into them. :)

I'm going to try and read all the gospels and Acts in the next 30 days. I figure it's about 8 chapters a day. So, no other readings at this time and every chance I get it's the bible (nursing baby, sitting outside, in between chores, laundry, etc...).

I EXPECT and KNOW because the bible says so, that as I dig in, things I have been lacking in will become overflowing (physical and spiritual needs) and that I will have an abundance for every good work! I will walk and move in the POWER OF JESUS and His love will be working in me! We have a GREAT DADDY!!!!!!!

Blessings,
Shannon

Journal ~ Jam, Late Nights, Blessings

Hello Sisters!

Well, here it is just about 12:30 pm and Im just now getting to the computer. Hollywood has been shooting a movie a few houses down from us for the last few weeks. There are so many trucks and lights and people, it is pretty crazy.and you should SEE what the people LOOK like that are doing the filming, need I say more? Its so interesting that I could not help but people watch tonight, actually, our whole family watched from our porch while we ate tuna and cheese sandwiches for dinner.

For the last 2 weeks we have been taking a schooling break and are just enjoying the great weather and the neighbors pool. We girls have been frequenting Starbucks a little too much and we probably need to detox. :)

The pictures were taken in our backyard standing under the apricot trees. Then we girls made wonderful apricot jam. It was soooo good I went out and bought a quart of vanilla ice cream that same hour so we could pour hot jam on top of it!

I dont want to brag, because I have nothing to brag about. But I would like to brag a little about Jesus. The Lord of the harvest and the God of OVERFLOW! My hubby has been committing himself to spend extra time in the Word and just BELIEVING and AGREEING with what the Word says as far as money goes. Weve been aggressive in a few areas such as renewing our mind, speaking the Word continually, walking in love, and most importantly, we have been correcting ourselves JUST AS SOON as we miss it. Tonight I got upset and said a few things that I shouldnt have and right away I said, Eric I am sorry. Lord I am sorry. I had cut myself off from being in right standing with the Lord, but as soon as I saw what I had done, immediately I corrected myself and its to the Lord as if it never happened. Thats what a GREAT Father we have. We mess up, repent and get right back on track and Hes already forgotten it! If we every hear about it again, its probably satan, because he holds things against us and reminds us of our past. The Lord says, as far as the east is from the west, so far have I removed your transgressions from you!

Heres the bragging part. We have been receiving materials that we need left and right. Twice now weve had our 15 passenger tank filled UP in the last 3 weeks (thats about $120. each pop.) Weve received brand new with the tags still on, Hanna Anderson, Gap, and Mossimo (sp?) clothing for the girls. Weve received cash. Weve received brand new NEVER USED, National Geographic science kits, a whole lot of them, all kinds of them, boxes of crayons, paints, play dough, new books, and new games, lots of them! I even received an almost new jogging stroller. My dad came over saw the stroller and asked, Free? I said, you know it! He smiled, as we both know its not about us. Its all about Jesus.

Length of days is in her (Godly wisdom) right hand, and RICHES and honor are in her left hand. Proverbs 3

There are so many scriptures and passages of scripture that talk about how the Lord wants us blessed, both in body, and bank account! What good are we if we as believers are broke? How can we take care of our neighbors needs? How can we be effective for Jesus if we are always sick and broke? We cant. Good thing He died for our PEACE (which means SHALOMhealth and prosperity)Look it up yourself. Isaiah 53:5

The Lord is GOOOOOD!

Blessings,

Shannon

Time with cousins...Psalm 91

Hello Sisters!

We've spent the night at my Sil's (my hubby's sister) house and have had a great time. We went to Starbucks (a quarter of a mile!) and all the children are now swimming in the pool. My SIL and her hubby have a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom, HUGE house and big backyard and great neighborhood in Wildomar which is about 65 miles from our home. After the traffic dies down this evening around 7pm, I'll start on home...... with cousins wanting to spend just one more day together, I'm sure most of you have experienced the love between cousins. :)

A few days ago my fil was over and we we're to put together a porch swing when my daughter yelled, "Mom the baby is choking!" As I quickly walked to the bedroom where my 11 yog was with the baby I spoke, "IN JESUS NAME I command Sophia to breathe." As she continued to gag, I just said, "thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus as I held her." She threw up a bunch of apricots I had given her a few hours before, but I couldn't find anything that would actually make her choke. Anyway, needless to say the whole family was in the room in seconds. Although there was tension in the room, of course, there was a calm expectation that we would be through this in just a few seconds. Now, was I scared at all? Yes. When I heard the words, "Mom the baby is choking" fear tried to come on me. Fear was right there waiting to envelope me, but I immediately choose to go with God's report. I took captive my thoughts, refused satan's lies and went with Jesus and how He said He came to GIVE LIFE (John 10:10.)

Because she (Shannon) has set her love upon Me (God), I WILL deliver her, I WILL set her on high, because she KNOWS and UNDERSTANDS My name [HAS A PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE OF MY MERCY, LOVE, AND KINDNESS-TRUSTS AND RELIES ON ME KNOWING I WILL NEVER FORSAKE HER, NO NEVER. She shall CALL UPON ME, and I WILL ANSWER HER! I WILL BE WITH HER IN TROUBLE AND DELIVER HER....! Psalm 91:14-15

Yes, we can REALLY, TRULY live and move everyday as though the bible is TRUE and the words in it are trustworthy. How else would we expect a Daddy to treat His children! :)

Blessings,
Shannon

Hello Sisters!

This is my new blog, which takes the place of the old message board. I plan to write here a few times a week or once a week (I don't want to write more than once a week, but it's what He wants, so I'm praying about this :) and share what the Lord is doing in my life, share pic's and maybe even some video (but the video depends on if the children are not yelling or screaming during the filming!)

I LOVE Spring! My favorite place in our home during this season is our bedroom. We practice family bed and enjoy "love coccoon" (which is snuggling with books and boobs...boobs for the baby!) I had been believing for a bigger bed (Hubby, myself and baby were on a full mattress) since before the birth of Sophia, but Hubby does not like to go into debt and I want quality and a king size bed! Soooo....just a few weeks ago we bought a very gently used and recently new king size extra firm mattress for $100. from a single 95 pound older lady! The LORD IS FAITHFUL...late, but faithful! Her daughter told me she spent $2000. on it....The south breeze blows gently through the window as it plays the windchime and moves over our faces. Sometimes we just stop reading, close our eyes and enjoy the wind, fresh air, singing birds and we acknowledge our Lord who makes His blessings to fall on the just and the unjust alike! He is SOOO Good!

Blessings,
Shannon
