Hello Sisters!
I am sitting here early morning drinking my Starbucks Iced DECAFE Latte (made at home :) while smelling hints of wet black mold. We are remodeling our bathroom and as the worker was pulling the tile from the walls and floor there was TONS of black mold (what we had believed all along.) Our house is already small, but now it is even smaller as we all gather to torment (I mean school) in the back room that is now filled with beds from wall to wall. We are tearing out walls and getting new everything, so, it won't be finished for about 2 weeks. I am going to sit on the porch swing with my hubby this morning and figure out just what we are going to do to make things easier during this time. Living out of 1 room makes it very hard, and I get grouchy when it's 95 degrees, 1pm, and the air conditioner in the room we are in isn't cold enough because the kids keep opening and closing the door! Many times yesterday I just closed my eyes and mouth, while my kids were saying, "Mom, what's wrong?" and then opened them a few seconds later to say, "I had to focus on Jesus so Mommy won't get upset........again!" I'll take some pictures and post them next week of the before and after.
We are still working through the Wisdom Unit Study by Robin Sampson at HeartofWisdom.com which is causing the older children to look within THEMSELVES and examine their own lives through their WRITING. My oldest made a small book about King Solomon and his wisdom and how he acquired it and my son made a treasure map and it told you how to go find wisdom. These are all ideas she gives in the study. It is only $15 and it can be instantly downloaded from the web site above.
Today is going to be better than the last couple of days because I am going to choose to act in a more godly way and slap my flesh back. :)
-My scripture for the week-
A person who quickly loses his temper does and says foolish things. But a person with UNDERSTANDING remains calm. Proverbs 14:17
