Hotel California's Pool





Hello Sisters!

Our family had a great time at Hotel California a la our neighbors house. Our neighbors went to Mexico for a week and wanted us to watch their house. They have a 3 story house with the top floor Wii (game thing) and a jacuzzi tub. 2nd floor had Play Station 3, Rock Star, huge backyard, pool, jacuzzi and awesome patio. 1st floor has Play Station 2, pool, ping pong, air hockey, and a dart board. I spent my time relaxing by the pool READING with Starbucks in hand. When I wasn't doing that I was laying down with the baby. :) What did I spend my time reading...I'm reading High School Form+U+La by Shelton.

I haven't been spending a lot of time in the Word, but instead I've been singing scripture and meditating that way.

Some things He's shown me...I don't need to make money, He is able to supply for all the little extras I need and want, I just have to ask in faith. I've been thinking of extras ways to make money, which is fine, but it's not for this season in my life. I need to EMBRACE my high call of being a help meet and a mother, when I do have extra time, I need to ask the Lord to show me ways of ENCOURAGING my family members and neighbors in what the Lord has for them....that's a FULL TIME and a HALF job!!!!! I hear other moms' talk about their business on the side and the extra income, but they all say it's EXTREMELY time consuming. I'd rather ask God to send the money supernaturally and spend my extra time busy about His business (loving Him, my family and my neighbors.) So, I'm VERY excited about that! :)

Ya all know Nancy Campbell, well she has a daughter Evangeline. Nancy many times makes mention of her daughter and how all her 9 children are perfectly trained and how Vange is truly the queen of her home. Now if you read the Above Rubies magazine, you will find only a few articles by Vange (I've read 2 by her in the last 4 or so years.) She doesn't have a blog, or has a business (that I know of.) She is a very HIDDEN woman. That so impresses me and encourages me! She is not trying to make money (there will be time for that in another season) but rather she stays out of the "lime-light" and takes her job duties of a wife and mother seriously. Maybe she will take over the magazine someday when her children are grown, but now, she's a HIDDEN WOMAN. I WANT TO BE A HIDDEN WOMAN!!!! :)

Talk about money. I was just talking to Eric about us "needing" more money a few days ago when a neighbor said to him, I went to the bank this morning and felt compelled to give this to you. It was $400.00. I've been wanting professional pictures of us for 16 years, I booked a session at the beach about 14 years ago, (I don't care for studio pictures but rather like outdoor only) but cancelled because it was going to run about $400.00. Last week Eric meet a professional photographer and liked our family, is building her web site, and offered to take pictures of us, and give us whatever we want (for free) in exchange for letting her use us on her site. So, we just got back this evening from an all day photo shoot out doors at a beautiful garden/park. We started talking about Jesus and they want to come over to hear more and eat with us. HOW AWESOME IS THAT...this is JUST THE BEGINNING of the blessings the Lord wants to give to His children. IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My youth is renewed, and I can say He does satisfy my desires with GOOD things! :)
