Journal ~ Not growing weary because He already did so for us!

We are fans of the book Artisan Bread in Five Minutes, even the young ones make bread almost daily!

Hello Sisters!

My hubby took the children for a walk so that I could spend a little time writing and....I used much of that time washing the dishes instead of writing on here.

I came across this in Hebrews...

"LOOKING AWAY [FROM ALL THAT WILL DISTRACT] to Jesus, who is the leader and source of our faith and is also its finisher [bringing it to maturity and PERFECTION.]...

Just THINK of Him who endured from sinners such grievous opposition and bitter hostility against Himself [reckon up and consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you MAY NOT GROW WEARY OR EXHAUSTED, LOSING HEART AND RELAXING AND FAINTING IN YOUR MINDS." Hebrews 12:2-3

Oh how we need to keep our eyes on Jesus! I know we hear that I lot, and it becomes sometimes just like another phrase, but the POWER IN LOOKING TO AND CONSIDERING HIM....it REALLY does give us JOY!

They are already back and we "have" to go swimming! :) Have a great weekend and don't forget as you go about the dishes and laundry and spills and sibling squables, we MUST CONSIDER HIM who made the way for us so that we could mother with joy and kindness and tenderness in our actions.

Blessings,
Shannon

Shannon,
You have NO idea how timely this was. My hubby and i were going over some ideas of what to do with the children after the baby is born. I'm just about two and half weeks from the due date, althuogh I think I will go about 5 to 7 days early. I was growing weary just THINKING about what we are going to do. What encouragement to know that He already did so for us. I will rest in that and instead look forward to our time together.
Thank you!
Kerri

It has been VERY timely for me too! All day I just kept thinking, "Lord, its all about you, what you did for me so that I could REST without stress! Sometimes I get to thinking I'm not doing enough "spiritual things"....and can we ever really do enough??? NO, we can't! He did it all. He did the work, so we wouldn't have to! Enjoy this time with your baby Kerri and relax and do nothing but give mommy loves and kisses and snuggles. Your hubby and children will thank you for it. :)

With #6 I have enjoyed so much more than I have with the others because I know TIME IS PRECIOUS. I want all my children to have GREAT memories of mommy and new babies and a welcoming and rested home. :) I'm praying for you sister! :)
